Ok everyone we had some tech issues and missed getting this out yesterday, but that is all good.  So here is the preview for the rest of the games over the weekend and Monday.

Denver at Jacksonville –  This is an interesting match-up.  Neither team will be that good this year.  Jacksonville has a revamped defense, but still has a lot of holes on offense.  If Denver can slow down Maurice Jones-Drew, it will be a long day.  Who will step in Brandon Marshall’s absence and can the run game with all their injured backs make a difference.  Winner-  Denver.

Oakland at Tennessee – Oakland is much improved this year by just getting a new quarterback.  Jason Campbell gives this team a legit quarterback which is what held Oakland back the last 3 seasons.  Chris Johnson will have to earn all his yards this game as the Oakland defense is pretty stout.  Look for a change in fortune for Oakland.  Winner- Oakland.

Detroit at Chicago –  Detroit is much improved, and will surprise many teams this year.  Look for Calvin Johnson to exploit a weak secondary.  Jay Cutler and the Bears offense have been less then good in the preseason now with Mike Martz at the controls.  Chicago fans are in for a Detroitesque year.  Winner – Detroit.

Cincinnati at New England –  Huge test for the very injured New England Pats secondary.  Tom Brady coming off just signing a huge extension.  This is the one of the best match-ups this weekend.  New England’s lack of run attack will be the difference in the game.  Winner –  Cincinnati.

Cleveland at Tampa Bay – Josh Freeman is still having issues gripping the ball after a thumb injury.  Cleveland is one of the more intriguing teams this year.  Not really sure what they are going to be, but i can tell you that it is all dependent on the arm of Jake Delhomme. Luckily they are taking the Buccaneers so the defense will have the final say in the outcome this week.  Winner – Cleveland.

Atlanta at Pittsburgh –  Atlanta looking for a break out season with all their weapons healthy travel to Pittsburgh who is minus their quarterback.  While the defense is still intact for Pittsburgh, the lack of a quarterback is going to be a huge issue.  Look for a low scoring game.  Winner – Atlanta.

Miami at Buffalo – Buffalo will be one of the worst teams in the league this year.  C.J. Spiller will be an amazing back to watch but may be the only bright spot on a team that has holes everywhere on the field, especially at the quarterback position.  Miami defensively will be way too much to handle.  Winner – Miami.

Carolina at New York Giants – Carolina was unable to punch it in the end zone at all in the preseason.  While they have not had all their weapons on offense, it won’t change much.  Matt Moore will have to deal with a huge pass rush.  The Panthers defense will keep it close, but in the end, the quarterback play will keep the Panthers from winning.  Winner – New York Giants.

Indianapolis at Houston – Tough game out the shot for the Colts.  The Colts have owned the Texans since they realigned the divisions.  If Houston is going to make the huge step forward and make the playoffs this is the game they need to win and not give away as they have in the past.  Peyton will keep the Colts in there, but it may not be enough.  Winner – Indianapolis.

Green Bay at Philadelphia – Green Bay is super bowl favorite, and they will show it.  The Kevin Kolb era begins in Philly and i’m sure he is wishing it was against a lesser opponent.  Aaron Rodgers will have a big game and the Packers will show why they are one of the top teams in the league.  Winner –  Green Bay.

Arizona at St. Louis –  Very interesting game here.  Both teams have not looked great, but I do like what St. Louis did with starting Sam Bradford and it couldn’t be better for him opening up with the Arizona defense.  Stephen Jackson will be the biggest difference in the game.  Winner – St. Louis.

San Francisco at Seattle – San Fran is a team on the rise, and with Arizona in shambles may be the year the reach up and steal this division.  Seattle has a lot of new faces with Pete Carroll’s regime in it’s first year.  Seattle just doesn’t have enough fire power to stay with the Niners. Winner – San Francisco.

Dallas at Washington – This is an interesting game all around.  Donovan McNabb moves over from the Eagles to guide the new look Redskins under new coach Mike Shanahan.  Dallas has pro bowlers all over the field and will be one of the best teams this year.  McNabb sat out most of the preseason with an injury which will be a factor.  Winner-  Dallas.

Baltimore at New York Jets – Well the talking is over now the Jets gotta prove it on the field.  The Ravens are one of the top teams in the AFC and will be looking to show the Jets that play determines champions.  Look for the Ravens to stack up the run and let Mark Sanchez try to beat them.  Winner- Baltimore.

San Diego at Kansas City – San Diego is looking to show that they are still one of the top teams in NFL.  Kansas City has not done a lot to upgrade the weapons for Matt Cassell.  The receivers dropped 50 passes last year and don’t look for that to change much.  Winner – San Diego.

According to Yahoo! Sports the Heisman Trust has decided to strip Reggie Bush of his award.  Bottom line when they say he received improper benefits, my only question is, ” How did that help him on the field?”.  It didn’t.  And i’d be willing to bet 100,000,000,000,000 dollars that Reggie Bush is not the first and won’t be the last exceptional athlete to get something.  Until the NCAA starts paying or giving some kind of money to the kids this will keep happening.  So NCAA please step up and maybe take a look at these rules you enforce that are old and outdated and lacking of all common sense.

Well now it’s official, Boise St. is going to fuck everything up for traditional powers and thus makng the call for a playoff talk now even more ridiculous.  Boise again proved it can play and beat the big boys in college football.  Would I love to see a playoff, of course i would.  I’d also like to see an oscar winning porn movie but neither is likely.  The playoff can’t be had because they are worried about the student athlete.  Yet every other division in football in college has it.  Odd don’t you think?  We shall see now if they can run the table and see if they can keep the NCAA’s worst nightmare alive.

Well mark it down, Mark Ingram will not win the Heisman trophy. Having knee surgery already and looking to miss at least the opener.  Much like national titles hopes one game can kill a season well this just killed his chances of repeating.  At least he has the ability to go pro lol.

So it official or looks official as it were, but Matt Leinart’s great play may have finally played him out of Arizona.  It is also being reported that teams are looking to trade for this “winner”.  Call me crazy but what has any team seen that would make Matt Leinart a better option then what they have so far.  Apparently the Raiders and Bills think he can help, which i find shocking.  Get ready for David Carritis, highly paid and sitting on the bench, yay money.

Yes, they did happen.  Pretty boring broadcast if you ask me.  Best of the night aside from it ending only 2 minutes late, was Ricky Gervais.  Not sure if he is doing any favors for himself with his comedy but damn is he hilarious.  Otherwise if they want to make it exciting, get rid of the mini-series/movies, god who gives a fuck.  Otherwise nice to see some of the good looking women, but Jimmy Fallon sucked.

Well the Matt Leinart era is over before it ever really got started.  With his swift demotion after just 9 plays in the last game it appears it is now Derek Anderson’s job to lose.  While Ken Whisenhunt says don’t read too much into it, its awfully hard not to.  This is the final straw in an unremarkable career, yay signing bonus money.  Now the question is what will he do next if anything.  No one is going to take a flyer on a guy who clearly isn’t interested in actually playing football but saying he is a football player.  I say goodbye , but who knows maybe Pete Carroll will groom him to be the quarterback of the future which is a great title for guys who will never make it.  Clearly his top priority is being the cool guy and partying, which is great if u can produce.  He is just the most recent guy in a long line of guys who just won’t get it.  More talent then they need and no idea how to use it.  It’s almost sad, but you don’t become great by not wanting it.

So Jim Furyk is currently 3rd in the PGA playoff system overslept yesterday and was DQ’ed from the tournament for missing a tee time for the pro-am.  I get it the Pro-am which not all golfers even play in is super important, but are you kidding me.  Granted there is a rule, but Jim is one of the nicest guys on tour, and even though he overslept only missed the tee time by 5 minutes.  5 minutes is now the difference in him getting a chance to win a $10 million dollar annuity.  It’s just another way the PGA is trying to boost ratings with Tiger not playing as well as he usually does.  Good move guys, maybe this is just  a preview of what we can look forward to when Tiger retires from golf, what a joke.  Even the WNBA thinks your a joke.

So the whoa-is-me tour continues for Fantasia.  Last night appearing on George Lopez.  Bottom line you are dating a married guy, and you tried to kill yourself by ingesting a bottle of aspirin which as everyone knows won’t really kill you.  If you want attention get a dog.  Stop bothering me with your sillyness.  No one cares about you and your reality show win and the fact you make terrible music are all much better reasons to end it lol.  Now if you could just go away and never come back i’m sure that would be ok with everyone.
